A mixed bag of all things scootering: what's going on, new parts for your scoot, ...

Welcome To Scooter Press!

ere it is; the zero issue of Scooter Press, our brand new E-zine on all things scooter in the USA. When you look at the menu bar above, you know why we do not call it the first issue just yet. Scooter Press is still a work in progress and numerous additions will be made during the next few weeks, before we officially launch Scooter Press next month. What we already have for you is a closer look at Piggio's smaller
Beverly's - the 125 and 250, as well as some interesting insights into how US design students look at the near future of the scooter style: the Parsons Challenge. Already in the past is the ArtVespa, a high profile fundraiser in London/UK last December. Also have a look at our news section, which we will update constantly, to bring you the latest on all things scooter. Just in is the official announcement from Vespa USA: The brand new LX line of scooters is on its way to the US and will be in stores by early summer. We tell you, what's coming at you. Not yet announced for the USA is the Vespa GTS 250 recently launched to the European market. Another quarter liter scooter we will only be able to watch from a distance for at least some time is the brand new Yamaha biggie Xmax 250.

Scooter Press will be your top source and resource for scootering in the USA. To make this a reality, we need your help: Let us know what you expect from Scooter Press. This goes for every single one of you out there, whether you work in the industry, are a long time scooterist, or just got into it. Do you have suggestions for stories? Do you or your club have an event, you would like to see in scooter press? Whatever it is:
E-mail us!

For everybody who is interested: Our editorial is based out of Tempe, Arizona - that's located southeast of Phoenix and home to Arizona State University. We are a small group of experienced motorcycle journalists with combined several decades of experience in that field. Don't get the wrong idea about that word "motorcycle". For us, a motorcycle is anything with two wheels and a motor - okay then, sometimes also three wheels. In case you are new to this: Yes, there are scooters with sidecars out there. Our portfolio includes work for print publications in Europe (Germany, England,...), and the USA. We are also currently developing Rubber Magazine, an E-zine for the urban motorcycle scene here in the USA, located on the web at www.RubberMag.com.

Hope you enjoy the zero issue of Scooter Press. Let us know what you think.
